THAT'S WHAT I CALL SUPER

Back in the day, before new technology took over the film industry, stories could unfold without the help of overdone special effects or any other of that fluff material we have grown so accustomed to. For all of you super8 film fans jonesing for some small-gauge celluloid creations, prepare to be sated. This weekend's Super8.1.2000, an international celebration of super8 filmmakers organized by Hamburg-based ALL NIZO and Zurich Super8-syndikat Bildstrich, comes to Raleigh. With other events planned worldwide, the Media Men are celebrating in the Capital City by giving a performance featuring simultaneous multiple super8 projections, video and live mixing from Dr. Spin/Cycle. Get in on the action; I'm sure you'll be entertained.
